Winged Ascent
Winged Ascent uses the moment just before takeoff as a metaphor for how students gradually discover their own direction during university life. The open wings, upward movement, and poised form reflect the growth that emerges through learning, practice, failure, and continuous adjustment. Just as metal gains strength and structure through folding, students develop their abilities, judgment, and sense of self through repeated experience. Standing within the campus, the work becomes a symbolic landmark that accompanies students in their daily lives, reminding them that direction becomes clearer through action, and that every journey of flight begins from the present moment.
